A Unique Strap Born from a Simple Idea: Combining Passions to Make a Difference.

The friendship between our founder, Mark Margulies, and car & watch collector Drew Coblitz began fittingly at a Porsche show in Miami. Their shared enthusiasm for cars and watches sparked a lasting bond and countless memories.

“Drew loves making jokes, spreading positivity, having fun, and not taking life too seriously. He embraces the inner child in all of us - a message I truly resonate with. And he certainly embodies that ethos through Derpy,” says Mark.

During a dinner in Miami, Drew and Mark conceived the idea of a Derpy watch strap. But how would Derpy be incorporated into the design? Drew’s Porsche passion provided the solution: placing the Derpy Dino in a repeating pattern reminiscent of Pepita, a classic black and white diamond-like fabric pattern that has become somewhat synonymous with special Porsche interiors. Drew and Mark got to work, and the Derpy strap was born.
